Background

Challenge : How to design an experience for people who want their daily task to be done easily and also want concierge services.

I was the product designer for the E-commerce Startup which provides home needs and concierge services. I reported to the CEO and CFO directly.

Approach : Evaluate customer behavior and perform user research.Worked closely with the team to find relevant trends and helped in the ideation, information architecture and wireframes for checkout screen, bookings page, delivery tracking page and personalized wish list page for the mobile application. A lot of competitive analysis was done.Worked with the engineering team to check the technical feasibility of our product.

Goal:

Radius7 is a premium concierge service that provides solutions to a luxurious lifestyle. Its user-base are residents of luxury apartments who prefer doing their all tasks like grocery shopping, table reservations in restaurant, spa bookings, etc. at the press of a button.
The app:

Roadmap:

To give a premium experience I figured out that we need to incorporate pictures that resonate with luxury. I selected icons that go well with the branding colors and look classy. I used dark colors like black and navy blue in the app to maintain readability and tried to have more pictures and visuals that textual content.
The app was divided into three sections based to the users needs:
Concierge Services - personal needs like groceries, pet care, booking restaurant table
Home Needs - like booking a plumber, electrician and other handyman services
Club House - platform for apartment/builder services and activities like social events and booking offices for meeting

Design:

Wishlist Page:
I designed the Wishlist page for the customers where users can save their list for future purchases or easy access. This page will help the users to save items they frequent or wish to buy like favourite restaurants, weekly grocery basket, future decor purchase.

Delivery Page:
We received feedback from users to have delivery on a certain time of the day. So we decided to incorporate time in the delivery page and I helped in design to come up with a sliding bar instead of textual time entry.

Checkout page:
Post the launch of our product we decided to display stages in delivery tracking. I helped in structuring the various stages of the delivery from start to finish.

Learnings:

I think feedback is very important at every stage of a product. Like when we took feedback for the delivery we added the stages and delivery time for the users which was appreciated by our users and this helped in the smooth functioning of the delivery process

Working in a startup where there are less resources it is always important to focus on the priority as when we made our app we started with the android app and focused on improving it as our user were mostly android users.

I was able to learn more and wore many hats when working in radius7 this gave me a lot of exposure and was a rewarding experience.
